Whee!

What a week! Malam Kenduri was THE Event of MSO this year! Everybody who went had an absolute blast, with GREAT food, some mediocre performances, M-Idol, and raffles stuff!

I dont have any pics blast, or i would have posted them already.

So now.. back to the daily grind! School starts tomoro (again)! and i took this two days to R&R. hopefully it works lol.

Time to begin my annual ritual of what i want. well i know some of the things are just wishes (for now!) but i really really wish for them!
there are some changes compared to last year's wishlist, which shows some maturity, and some regression lol. And NO, Spiderman comics are NOT on the TOP 10. and strangely enough, i don't want a new com either. i've grown fond of my orange lappie with all its ailing problems and stuff.

SO! Presenting the TOP TEN 2008!

10. Acoustic Guitar with amp

Remarks: umm i can actually go buy myself, but i dont want to spend money, especially with the stupid MASCA trip coming up. I actually want this to practise a new skill, i've got all the songs picked out for it already! p.s. i want the guitar, not the girl.

9. Wii with LCD tv

well actually this is like chocolate, cos i know its bad for me, but i S

TILL want it! especially with the Bleach game! of course must come with AT LEAST 2 controllers complete with nunchacks. Wait a minute... chocolate ISN'T bad for me!

8. My speakers to ARRIVE on my birthday!

....now that would be a miracle, cos malaysias shipping sucks.

7. MONEY.

self explanatory. no, but i would save it all and use only for necessary stuff (STUPID MASCA games). i'm like that.

6.Ipod Nano Video 3rd G

No, i'm not being adultrous to my Sony bean, its just that.. ok...yea, i'm ditching the Bean. lol. Who wouldn't?

5. HD's for my PSYCH papers!

theoretically this isn't a birthday present, and i ACTUALLY can achieve this, only i'd go crazy in the process and end up like INTI's Suman or ANU's err... better not say =) And if i can't get this i want... to not have to study at all!
yes, i'm pretty lazy lol. this is truly an impossible dream.

4. My own kitchen.

After the birthday candle incident cooking is akin to first degree murder in ursula. I WANT TO COOK!!!!

3. Hmm okla, i wont be so greedy and ask for a Ramli burger. Or homecooked food. Or this:

notice its an AUDI, my car of choice ever since i saw I Robot.

2. To have dinner with a special someone. Soooooo schoolboy infatuation! or maybe not =)

1. To draw closer to God.

I've already made plans for this. At least i will get this wish =)

One thing that ALMOST made it to this year's list is this: Braun Series 7

This thing is so powerful it could shave chewbacca in 3 seconds flat.

Wow. most of the things i wanted last year changed. The only 2 things that stayed on are the guitar and money. different priorities? i wonder how it'll change next year. hopefully less material, and more spiritual =)

The presence of God.

                             IMG_1504

Yup thats me in an artiste' clothing. We had one of those themed dinners and this year the theme was Hollywood vs Bollywood. It was.. fun. and so was the night after that.

But of course theres more to life than just looking forward to the next dinner and Moose jaunt.

Heres another pic of the dinner.

IMG_3537

Phew. I just finished my BLARDY 2500 word essay in THREE DAYS. Of course alot of it was due to pulling an all-nighter last nite, fueled by half a cup of Aik Cheong coffee (authentic Malaysian coffee!)

My essay was about should we do cloning. sounds interesting rite?

but wait! the topic says we can only debate based on a developmental psychology perspective! BOOOOORINGGG!!

but now thats done with YEEESSS!

Chi Yao's birthday is today. and last night they celebrated for him in unilodge. Guess who was stuck in because of essay?

Happy birthday Biong! I remember thats what i first called you when i just met you. lol. go read about his surprise party, and how it turned out to NOT be a surprise HERE

Tomoro is another MSO event, Malam Kenduri. yes, i am excited about it, but more for the socializing part and the FREE Gelatissimo ice cream! woot!

Japanese is killing me. I have a Language test in 2 weeks! time to brush up...

But thats enough about average life, TIme to take a walk on the spiritual.

Recently I was reading Ezekiel 8. And WOW. It details the pervertness of the minds of people, and how they think God can't see all.

But not so. One remarkable fact is that througout all the spiritual decay, the Glory of God is THERE. Yes. Right THERE.

This is both an encouragement to some, and a warning to others.

Go read it. now.

Free time...zzz

Finally my  STUPID PSYC2007 Biological Basis is done! i can finally relax. for the next 1.5 hours that is.. Thats when the new day  (tomoro) arrives. and i'm dead tired. yet still my crazy friend is in my room making somr longan dessert and going to call other people here to socialize.. theres a LIMIT you know!

                                          DSC01995

Anyway, about today's bio test, it was GG (good game), which means we all died and faile d. lol. its thanks to this sheet of paper  (one whole semester of lectures crammed into one side of a handwritten A4. Godlike!)that i didn't fail and could even get a high credit! woo! i worked on this in the wee hours of this morning 2 am till 7.30, then my day began. Sommore our lecturer sounded sooo sarcastic when he said "good luck!" knowing we all die lo..

haha but thats over with! the rest of the day i was in really hyper mood. cos of exams over? but then again could be becos of that V i drank. lol.

DSC01994and then i spent the rest of the day shopping for MSO stuff, cut hair, shopping for MY stuff, and bought this lovely spicy chicken rice you  see here.

*1 hour later

Ok the guys are gone, leaving the presence of their umm.. sounds, jokes, and stories.

but i'm too damn tired. time to sleep. Tomoro's another day! with the finals in one month.... wohoo!

BIG Night Out

Thursday, 3rd May. Finally! Exams are on, but i still find time to practise for the biggest, greatest, nite ever! Granted i only spent a total of 30 minutes at the event, because i had to rush back to study lol. Exams the next day!

But it was a great time. Lets recap, one year ago we were a fledgling band, with no experience watsoever:

                                  n803580230_2320342_3641

I am appalled at how nerdy we all looked back then. BUT! after 1 year of many practises, gigs, blistered hands and voices, we have become THE band of Ursula Hall! Go Hector and the Booty Inspectors! Ok, i have to admit, i still think our  name still is kind of weird. But it grows on you, especially if i've been playing under it for one year. lol. And its better than Ivan Millat and the Serial Killers, the other band we had to band off to see who was Ursies no. uno band!! and of course we are!

This year again the place was at Bruce Hall, so i really pity the ppl staying there lol. i could hear it all the way from my room, down the street! There was lots of free food and drinks yum!

There was a total of 7 bands from all 7 residences. =) I'll leave it at you to guess what postiion we got =)

Here are some scenes from that awesome night! Thats MATT (Hector?) our lead singer in that omgoodness marching band suit.n803580230_2808902_1788n803580230_2808884_5893n803580230_2808892_8490

This year, we included a string trio into one of our songs, "Iris". Simply brilliant music ensured.

n803580230_2808891_8158n803580230_2808894_9092

So the other  stars of our band that night is BICEP:

                                  n803580230_2808871_1866

            n803580230_2808883_5591

      n803580230_2808903_2092 n803580230_2808886_6521

This is MADDY and SHERN REN!

   n803580230_2808869_1300n803580230_2808885_6178

        n803580230_2808881_4901

And of course, me! In most of my pics i looked like i was in a zombie trance, so i didn't put them in lol.

      n803580230_2808863_9582

  n803580230_2808855_7696 n803580230_2808878_3946

And where would we be without our beloved fans. The whole place was jumping that night! You guys were awesome!

n803580230_2808799_1569

Looking back at having the privilege of being in such an awesome band is.. i've learnt so many things! But the most important thing i've learned is TEAMWORK. We all worked together on this. We helped out each other to improve and as a result, we improved ourselves. It was really a great thing. We knew that each other person was the most important. And the band could not have been made without 4 other special people: Maddy, Bicep, Shern Ren, and Matt!
