Caroling

Wow it seems like so long ago that we finished our caroling.. it was about.. umm one week ago? i still remember all the grueling practise sessions we had on friday and saturday and the less than perfectly organised crazy sunday we had. but it was definately fun, and i'd like to say we learned alot of things.

although i didn't really gain anything ohysically, it was really rewarding to see all the kids get together, and grow through experiences. its like when i was their age and i had the kor kor and che che as our seniors, and now i'm doing the same thing. well.. sommore all the kids are calling me uncle and saying i look at least 35 =( wat la....

so heres a recap in pictures on what really happened and what went on throughout the whole fiasco:

BEST OF THE HOLIDAYS Award

During every holidays theres always that one thing that makes it special, memorable. Past awards have been for a special moment with family, an outing with friends, flood incidents, really, really REALLY good food, and other stuff. For this holiday season, the winner of this award deserves it sooo much, that I don’t have to wait till the end of the holidays to decide.

Bleach: Scattered Sword for Wii. First of all I must thank Joel for the Wii and allowing me to use it for my countless hours of zanpaktou fighting.

The story is originally written by Kubo Tite himself and takes place after the events of Soul Society. Without giving much away, lets just say this game is something like the Transformers Movie; in that it completely exceeds my expectations and I underestimated it. I think this game alone is worth buying a Wii

For those of you who are new to the Wii, there are two controllers called the Remote and the Nunchak. This game requires both and I really had a lots of fun swinging both around. At the very basic, the controls are:

And that’s only the beginning. Additional buttons pressed unleash a ton of super moves and maneuvers. And together with the Nunchuk, there are a ton of combos and movements to master.

In the game there are 32 playable characters, each with different variations! I really had a blast playing Grimmjaw, Yamammoto, and the rest for their awesome attacks and moves. I like how the game preserves the authenticity of each character’s attacks, down to the style they hold the sword, the way they swing their swords, and the way they talk (shout?) during attacks.

I think my holidays would definitely have been different if this game wasn’t around. I didn’t even touch the other Wii games cos this one was by far the best one. I can really feel the excitement of a battle when fighting my brother (and getting my ass whooped by him!), or the enemy. So, thanks, Joel for this great game!

And heres some (actually lots!) of screenshots from the game

This sequence is of Ichigo vs Renji.

Ichigo releasing his kick-ass Getsuga Tenshou:

remember Renji's attack against Aizen? This is it!:

Renji’s Bankai, unleashed!

Ichigo’s turn to do his Bankai and finally whacking Renji with his super speed. This is his finishing move, the Black Getsuga! Renji, KO!

Heres a taste of Yamamoto’s finishing move. Hinamori loses this one

This is the boss of the game, Arturo Plateado.
His reiatsu is so strong, it flows out his back like
wings! AND he uses it as a sword too!

Heres one of his wicked attacks:

And heres how he looks like when he uses his finishing move. Of course I won’t show it, it’ll spoil the game!

Heres a battle between Zaraki and Komamura.

Zaraki was so strong, I had to use my bankai to defeat him! In the end Komamura wins the fight.

Zaraki doesn’t need a bankai, once he takes off his eyepatch, hes too powerful, as shown below:

Heres one of Byakuya’s traditional attacks, the Byakurai:

Of course the game has Matsumoto too!

Heres Ishida vs. Kira Izuru. Remember his Wabisuke attacks? Its wicked!

But Ishida in his ultimate quincy form is even more powerful, with an unstoppable ultimate attack.

Heres Hitsugaya in a bankai level, captain vs captain fight against Komamura

In the game I can make impossible things can happen, like Sado (Chad) defeating Byakuya

And I actually get to take advantage of Ichimaru’s Shinsou attack!

finally, heres two shots of Rukia in battle =)

I am soooo gonna miss this game back in Canberra.
