Tunnel Vision.
The bible makes it clearer : "You sweep men away in the sleep of death; they are like the new grass of the morning. Psm 90:5". I like to think that I'm prepared for death, for when it comes. It could be unexpected, or i might live to be a old man who has to spend my pension on angpao every CNY.
But how do we deal with a death of a dear person, a family member at that? Its like we never expect them to be gone. Well sure, they're older, so it makes sense that they'll go first? But its always too early, or too soon, or we're just not ready. My heart goes out to one special friend tonight, whom i've had little chance to know. Some people say be strong, movies tell us that guys dont cry. But I say real men are not afraid to cry at the right time. No, this is not politics, or me being hypocritical.
When we go to heaven, we'll be reunited again. But it seems like a bloody long wait. Trust God in this crucial time, depend on Him, for He will never leave nor forsake you.
I dont really know what to say, because I dont know how it feels. But I hope that if you do read this, know that me, and everyone else (yes, they know!) feel for you. My condolences to you and your family.
Look through a toilet paper roll (a clean one!). See the light at the end?
Its like life and death.
Now take the tube away.
This is how God sees it. Light all around.
Nothing limits Him, not even Death.
