How To Conquer Malaysia In 17 Days, Part 1.

Wee hoo!!! What a rush! its already past the middle mark of my winter holidays back in malaysia! Yes, i know.. ironic isnt it? Its bloody hot here. Or "warm" as the ang mo's will say. Omgoodness i could feel the heat on the KLIA tarmac..
Well, lets start on the 25th. The STUPID bus broke down!!! We were barely out of Canberra when the wheel made some funny bumps and sounds. So we had to stop and wait for another replacement bus to pick us up. Too bad for some people had to miss their flight because of the delay. Me? You know me, being patient and all, I just stuck my bean and pumped up the volume.
At the airport everything went smoothly... did it? apart from the fact that a certain MS. VIRGINIA GLOCKENPORT held up the ENTIRE airport!!! because she wasnt there for her flight, the flight couldnt take off, which consecutively affected other flights and important people (me!) How do I know her name? well, they were calling it every 10 seconds on the PA system!
Flight back was great! There was this hot girl apparently flying to London next to me. and we talked alot! MAS dinners are bad, i got one lousy sandwich which was hard and cold. Anyone who watched Pleasentville please dont tell me the ending! cos I watched it on the plane but didnt get to finish it..
Whre was I? oh yeah, touchdown! At the baggage collection area, i waited for like 20 minutes before they announced that the bags were in another area...stupid airport... And then there were some workers pretending to be busy. My friend once told me the reason they are called kakitangan kerajaan is becos they only use their kaki and tangans, not their brains HAHAHA!
Dad picked me up from the airport. And that was where I started my eating spree!

26th, Tues. Tampins famous fish noodles!plus all the yong tau foo and ikan bakar i could eat! I was off to a good start. Ikan bakar is one of God's gift to man...especially with lime and chilli juice on top...Banzai!!

I miss my bed!! and i miss russel!!! Ok, i missed my family too. Home was great! every night I ate snacks like chocolate, junk food, instant noodles, ice cream, cookies, biscuits... yes, even as I type this i'm munching on a few dozen bars of kit kat... love it!

27th, Weds. Wantan mee!!! OMgoodness how i missed it sooo much!!! I actually ate two packets for breakfast! thank you australia for giving me a huge appetite! Lunch I went out for KFC!!! Some of you may laugh cos i wasted my trip back for KFC... but to me, its a semi-pseudo-religion/tradition. I mean, i havent even eaten it once for half a bloody year!

Of course home cooked food is always the best, and that nights dinner was fabuloso, as they say in that washing powder commercial...Chinese cabbage with salted fish and fried pork.... lotus soup with seafood....i tell you, rice has never tasted so sweet...
Over the next week or so, I proceeded to sample (gobble?) up every bit of authentic Segamat food. Except durians, of course. (BTW, its durian season here) I still remember for 4 days in a row (2-5th July!) i tried 4 different chicken rice stalls for lunch... and I still want more! I can still taste the dim sum I had for breakfast, , min xin, char kuay teow made specially for me... (i kenal the tauke), authentic chinese food in a authentic chinese restaurant (especially the tradition of washing Fark and Spun in a bowl of boiling water)
Special mention must be made to Mc Donalds..I bought a Shrek cushion there!

Fast forward to 1st, Sun.Dad took the family out to Melaka! It was expected, but still lovely! Lets see if I can recall the dinner....shark fin with crab meat soup, fried prawns, assorted veg, steamed codfish, claypot herbal chicken, spring onion ostrich meat, and one other chicken dish.
Price? FREE! Like Mastercard says, the best things in life are free! Its cos we have all these dining vouchers and coupons that accumulated over the months. ENvy me! HAHA!

Apart from the food, there are tons of notable episodes... like the time when I went to Giant, or the bats in the attic, or playing the Wii (almost everyday!), or my stupid haircut, or just lazying about the house! its great. all of it. I love my family to bits!
