Day 6: Off to Brisbane!
1.7.08
Our last breakfast by Maha and Arjun :
and we left our lovely house with tons of memories
Sailfish Cove! I'll miss this place! with the burnt carpet and super freezing master bedroom
On the train to Brisbane. It takes one hour to get there, so near! think Melaka to Segamat near. And of course we had to get our bearings there, cos we were used to Gold Coast already.
Walking in Queensland University. the bloody campus is bigger than ANU!! and it has THREE campuses!! kisiao we walked so far to find King's College
My room in King's College! it has a fridge, and a balcony, and is bigger than Ursula's! but its more run down, and many facilities are so old.
This is Aik Sern, he's Winnie's friend from high school.
This is Yooni and Wei-Liam. Cool People!
For lunch we ate at the oh-so-near Ipswich village with lots of good food and a Coles! why la ANU so underdeveloped ;). The Malaysian food rocked!
and we had to attend some briefing about the next few days. talk about lousy planning! schedule say start at 5.00 end up start at 6.00. Plus had a really stupid speech by stupid people. Eg:
"I got something really realy important to tell you!!" "Tonight its going to become winter!! Dress warmly!!!"
Like, duh.
"Please close the shower door when you shower because the steam can set off the fire alarm!"
Sweat..... =_="
I met the other captains there though. We were playing in 2 days time against New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria, and Queensland! Time to pressure! Of course I tried to do some evaluation on the other team's strength based on the captains. But i always remember not to underestimate anyone. Pressure Pressure!
Out indispensable booklet with maps and events:
That night ended with a free-for-all BBQ which wasn't free, seeing as how we've paid for it lol.
Never seen so many Malays in one spot in Australia before.
During the BBQ i gave our team a prep talk. Seriously? i was aiming for bronze, even if i didn't show it.
"What bronze? my brain only registers GOLD!"
