Psalm 16:1

hmm.. its 1.30 am here.. the latest i've ever stayed up...i wonder why..

it could be the loss of dc..but actually it only serves to make the truth all the more profound.

its like when we've lost touch, either being too lazy, or just forgotten, or can't be bothered...

Its time to get right with God. I feel like a drained, no-purpose lightbulb with now power source.

i think i skipped too many meetings with God already..

1 Chronicles 4:10

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.

It doesn't say that God granted part of his request, but the whole request.

Hmm.. notice and similarities when how Jesus prayed;

Our Father in heaven,
   hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
   your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Notice any similarities? In the final part of Jabez's prayer he asks that he be kept from harm, and free from pain. Jabez lived way way back before the time of Jesus. but in the whole bible, he was the only one to pray such a straightforward prayer.

He prays " ...bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me"

How often do we pray this? when we ask God to enlarge our territory, giving us new people to preach to,spreading the gospel, there are also all the trials that come along with it.

sometimes we are taught that its something bad to ask for good things from God? NO! God will bless you if it is in His plan to do so.

.. think about what the "hand of God" being with you means. no, not Pele's goal in the World cup.

God is just waiting for us to ask.

...there... i feel better typing out my thoughts... time to sleep, and wake up to meet God tomoro!
